KY Launches Adventure Giveaway Feb. 20, 2013

Kentucky Tourism Launches Giveaway and Game for Adventurers

There is an adventurer in all of us, and the Kentucky Department of Travel brings the climbing shoes and rappelling rope to help us discover it. Today, the Kentucky Department launches the “Find Your Own Kentucky Adventure Giveaway” campaign. Fans of the unbridled state can enter to win a trip for up to four and get a taste of the beautiful scenic views and adrenaline rushes that can be discovered around every mountain curve and river bend.

KENTUCKY GOALS

Kentucky Tourism Promotion

Kentucky is a place that rewards an adventurous spirit, and the department wants the "Find Your Own Kentucky Adventure Giveaway" campaign to reach adventure travelers online in several ways. With Aristotle’s help, Kentucky will increase their Facebook Page likes, grow their informative and fun e-newsletter subscriptions and encourage more traffic to their website, KentuckyTourism.com.

To accomplish these goals, Aristotle worked with the department to launch a campaign that will inspire adventure seekers and families looking for a change of pace to plan their trips to Kentucky. Adventurers can enter the “Find Your Own Kentucky Adventure Giveaway” through custom forms on the KentuckyTourism.com landing page, on Kentucky’s Mobile Site landing page, or on Kentucky’s Official Facebook App. Entrants will be eligible to nab a prize package that includes $1,000 in lodging and travel expenses, a horseback riding package in Lexington, a fast-paced zipline outing in Campton and more adventures in canoeing, rock climbing and sightseeing. Along with the giveaway, Aristotle developed an interactive game aimed to engage and inspire vacation planners.

KENTUCKY ADVENTURE GAME

To earn extra entries into the giveaway, contestants can play the "Kentucky Adventure Hidden Object Game." Using a beautiful photograph that captures the spirit of an active family exploring a Kentucky cave, we hid more than a dozen adventure items, such as a mountain bike, hiking boot, raft paddle and ATV. To earn the extra entry, entrants must collect each hidden object in the photo. Upon winning the game, social media entrants can share their success with their friends on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.
