Aristotle Campaigns Win Internet Advertising Competition Awards

April 29, 2014 – LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two Aristotle Interactive clients received top awards in the 2013 Internet Advertising (IAC) Award competition. The IAC recognized Silver Dollar City Attractions and the Kentucky Department of Travel for campaigns Aristotle developed and produced in 2013. The IAC Awards judge entries based on creative, execution and results.

Best Family Rich Media Online Campaign

An Aristotle client for nearly a decade, Silver Dollar City utilizes Aristotle’s online media and marketing team to produce and deploy search and display advertising campaigns. Aristotle also provides Silver Dollar City with both strategic marketing and Web development consultation.

To increase ticket sales for the Silver Dollar City theme park and Showboat Branson Belle cruises, Aristotle designed and developed a set of rich media banner ads.

Running the creative banners between September 11 and October 15 on TripAdvisor, Silver Dollar City saw remarkable results. The two sets of banners generated a 33.3% return on investment in less than a month, and the click-through-rate on the banners reached almost 0.5% - 5x the national average for display campaigns.

In the fall of 2013, Kentucky wanted to increase awareness of the state’s fall and winter festivals and events. Additionally, Kentucky sought to increase its Facebook likes by 5,000 and e-newsletter subscribers by 1,000.

Aristotle developed the “Mark Kentucky on Your Calendar Sweepstakes” featuring an interactive map that displayed events when users clicked on different regions.

Results

By the campaign’s end, Kentucky’s Facebook likes increased by more than 10,000 while e-news subscribers increased by more than 6,000 - far exceeding the client’s goals. Most importantly, we drove nearly 4,000 users to partners’ event pages due to the interactive events map.

The Kentucky Department of Travel, an Aristotle client since 2009, runs regular online marketing campaigns with Aristotle.
