Aristotle Email Systems Upgrades
Aristotle system engineers have scheduled an upgrade of Aristotle’s Email platforms on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, between the hours of 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. CST. Please read the following information regarding the upgrade.
- General email services will be offline for less than 30 minutes.
- The conversion may result in minor mail delivery delays.
- Services for customers using POP3 or IMAP to receive their email and SMTP to send email will remain available.
- Webmail will not be available until the upgrade process is 100% complete.
This interruption will have a minimal impact on your email service, and all email sent to you during the upgrade period will be collected and delivered after the upgrade in complete.
The process of copying files to the new platform requires several days due to the volume of email files being copied. This time lag will result in some duplicate emails in your inbox.
A note to Outlook users using POP3:
If your “Advanced” account settings are checked to “Leave a copy of messages on the server,” all email will appear to be unread after the upgrade even if you have opened the email previously. To prevent this inconvenience, turn off this feature prior to the upgrade date. This feature can be enabled after the upgrade.
Alternate Upgrade Date:
In an upgrade of this size and complexity, unanticipated issues may occur. In the event that it appears that email might be offline longer than anticipated, we will stop the process and revert to our original system.
At this time we will solve the issues and then continue the process on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, between 8PM and 10PM CST.
We regret any inconvenience this system maintenance may cause and thank you for your patience as we upgrade our email systems. Please forward this notice to all employees within your organization that use Aristotle email services.
