Aristotle and West Hollywood CVB Launch Redesigned Website May. 09, 2007

West Hollywood, CA (May 09, 2007) - The West Hollywood Convention & Visitors Bureau (WHCVB) has officially launched its completely re-designed, cutting-edge web site to the public. The site, located at serves as the official, premier resource for travelers, media, and locals to access the latest West Hollywood news and information.
A virtual representation of a city that boasts an unparalleled nightlife and music scene, the new site hosts technologies such as a music jukebox playing a selection of ambient tunes from rock to jazz, live streaming West Hollywood video, and a "Hot News" column delivering breaking West Hollywood news directly to the users e-mail in-box via RSS feeds - all set on a multi-colored background that changes based on whether a visitor accesses the site during the day or nighttime. "More people today than ever are using the Internet for travel research and booking online, so it's essential to have a web site that's attractive and engaging - and this site is an example of how West Hollywood is operating at a level that's cutting-edge and leading the way in the travel industry," said James Kampas, Director of Tourism Marketing for the WHCVB. "We want to be the go-to resource for all-things West Hollywood," Kampas concluded.
The WHCVB contracted Aristotle Design, an award-winning full service Internet and Interactive multimedia design and consulting firm based in Little Rock, AR to transform the site, implementing the latest technologies to make the users experience more comprehensive and easier to navigate.
Highlights of the upgraded site also include expanded, in-depth content detailing the unique history of the City of West Hollywood, the neighborhoods that comprise the city: The Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Boulevard ("Route 66"), and the Avenues of Art & Design, (Melrose Avenue, Beverly and Robertson Boulevards) and a fresh, clean design with easier site navigation. An expanded image gallery, enhanced sections for the media and travel professional and more comprehensive hotel, restaurant, shopping, spa and club listings will be invaluable tools for anyone looking to visit or experience West Hollywood. continues to host ARES, a booking engine allowing visitors to book any of West Hollywood's 14 hotels directly online at discounted prices, an interactive 3D map of the area from MapNetwork, as well as content in four different languages and a Travel Club enticing visitors to sign up for discounts on local restaurants, shops, and hotels and receive future e-newsletters from the WHCVB.
Phase two of the website will include podcasts and downloadable walking tours of the city that visitors can load directly onto their iPod or digital music player. Leading in the latest technological trends, the WHCVB also has a presence on interactive social networking sites such as MySpace, YouTube, and is present on a Yahoo! Newsgroup for the gay community, winning three awards at the annual Western Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau's Idea Faire.
