Aristotle Serves Up Restaurant Week Microsite
Oct. 06, 2008
As a microsite to AtlanticCityNJ.com
, Aristotle and the Atlantic City CVA recently launched ACRestaurantWeek.com
, a dining site designed to promote Atlantic City's Restaurant Week. The annual, seven-day celebration highlights the diverse dining scene throughout the city.
With the site website visitor's can find out all the info on the celebration, from restaurants and menus to chef bios and restaurants. Visitor's can also search lodging packages and deals for Restaurant Week, and even use the Aristotle-implemented third party application to book a Restaurant Week reservation. The site's main page rotating Flash is intriguing, but not overwhelming.
Besides the site's sleek and "sophisticated" design, the microsite features a number of back-end features. Applications such as a custom content management system
allow the ACCVA to independently add, edit and update pages and database listings on the site. Aristotle takes pride in the tool's user friendliness, and the ACCVA staff loves the ability to manage the site autonomously.
Aristotle's programming/html team
also implemented custom programming such as a display feature that gives the site the ability to display menus based on if a restaurant serves lunch, dinner, etc.
