Members of the Aristotle team attended the 39th Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Held in the Hot Springs Convention Center, the annual conference brought together members of Arkansas’s hospitality and tourism businesses. The conference sought to teach attendees how to grow their businesses and focused on future initiatives that will shape the face of the Arkansas tourism industry including online marketing, content development , new Web technologies, and social media initiatives.
Marla Johnson Norris Speaks

Her multi-media presentation utilized entertaining and informative video to describe the initiatives accomplished on Arkansas.com on behalf of its tourism partners.
From an updated mobile site and iPhone and Android apps to new videos and two extremely successful social media campaigns, Arkansas.com saw incredible activity, visits and referrals in 2012.
In 2012, Arkansas.com received nearly five million visitors to Arkansas with more than 1.3 million referrals to partner sites. We were also able to generated 7,500 new e-newsletter subscribers. Aristotle’s achievement in pay-per-click search advertising managed more than 450,000 clicks in 2012 at only $0.44 per click.
Aristotle's "Social Sofa" Consultations
As a fun bonus for the conference attendees, the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism asked the social media experts at Aristotle to hold fifteen-minute, one-on-one social media consultations during the conference. Dubbed the “Social Sofa,” Jenny Boulden, Social Media Specialist, and Rhen Wilson, Digital Communications Director, shared the couch with small business owners and marketers on their social media efforts. Conversations ranged from setting up a Facebook Page to understanding how a social network’s “voice” can drive content creation.
