At Aristotle, we work hard to deliver the best customer experience possible. When you sign up for Aristotle, we will send a professional service technician to your location to install the necessary equipment to deliver your internet service. Here is what you can expect from the big day!

Installer Check-in

When your installer arrives, he will check in with you to make sure it is still a good time to perform the installation. The technician will confirm the location of your router and give you any information that you need. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the installation, now is the time to raise those with the technician. An adult (18 years or older) must be present during the installation.

Before our installer arrives, please secure your pets to comply with safety guidelines and to prevent potential risk of escape or injury. Your cooperation is appreciated for the safety of your pets and our staff.

Survey

The installer will survey your property to determine how to provide the best service possible. Most of the time, our installers will start on your roof. If a nearby pole or structure would provide better service, the installer may suggest that location.

Installation

After the survey, the installer will confirm the best location with you and then perform the installation:

Secure radio equipment to the roof (or best location)
Run cable from the radio to the router in your home or office
Activate equipment
Check the service to confirm speeds meet survey estimates
Secure cable and waterproof entry holes
Clean up work area
Walk you through the ArisControl App

App Onboarding

Finally, the technician will help you install the ArisControl mobile app, which puts you in charge of your Wi-Fi:

Download the ArisControl App
Sign up for an account
Connect your router
Change password
Run a speed test to the router
Provide optional, app training
Add devices
Create profiles
Create guest network
Manage scheduled times

What happens during an installation?

A professional service technician will come to your location to:

Install the necessary equipment to deliver your internet service, including radio equipment, router (Wi-Fi), and cable.
Check the service to confirm speeds meet the survey estimates.
Check to ensure the Wi-Fi Zone covers your entire location.
Help install the ArisControl mobile app.

Who should be at home / on site at my business during my installation?

An adult (18 years or older) must be present during the installation.

How long will it take to set up service?

Aristotle typically installs our Internet service within a few days after signup. The installation takes up to 3 hours. Potential time delays include line-of-sight issues, roof access, cabling installation issues, and weather.

When weather prevents, or interrupts, an installation, Aristotle's Customer Service staff will reschedule at the subscriber's earliest convenience. Typically, an installer will be back the next business day.

Where will the antenna be attached?

The installer will survey your property to determine how to provide the best service possible. Most of the time, antennas are secured to the roof. If a nearby pole or structure would provide better service, the installer may suggest that location.

What are the computer requirements for Aristotle Internet?

Required Features:
The computer must have an Ethernet port or have a Wireless card installed.

Recommended Features:
Windows XP or higher; 64MB RAM or higher; 100MB free hard drive space.

Older computers can use external equipment while newer computers have both the port and card. Aristotle's Customer Service staff are available to answer any questions about requirements. However, Aristotle will not purchase nor recommend specific equipment to be purchased.

Will the Wi-Fi Zone cover my entire location?

The service technician will check to ensure the Wi-Fi zone covers your entire location. If more coverage is needed, Aristotle offers a full line of GigaSpire products to cover larger homes or businesses.

How do I connect multiple computers or other devices?

Every Aristotle plan includes a high-performance Gigaspire router, free of charge. Most plans also include free setup for as many as 5 devices, like your desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.

(You will need to connect any additional devices. Typically, instructions are on the manufacturer's website.)

Can I still access my e-mail accounts?

You can always access web-based email accounts like Yahoo!, Outlook.com, and Gmail using your internet browser.

Aristotle also gives you five (5) free email accounts that you can check either online or through email programs like Outlook on your computer.

If you ever cancel your internet plan, you can still keep your email addresses for a small monthly fee.

Can I move residences while under contract?

Contact Customer Service to see if the new residence is Aristotle's network coverage area. If so, Aristotle can move the equipment for a small service charge. Additional charges may occur depending on the complexity of the reinstallation.

Will someone teach me to use the ArisControl mobile app?

Yes—A technician will help you install the ArisControl mobile app, which puts you in charge of your Wi-Fi.
