At Aristotle, we work hard to deliver the best customer experience possible. When you sign up, we'll send professional service technicians to your location to install the necessary cabling and equipment to deliver your fiber internet service. Here is what you can expect on the big day!  
 

Before the Install

Safety first! Before we lay down the fiber cable to your home, Aristotle will reach out to city services to ensure we don’t hit any buried utility lines when we dig. 

Pet Safety

We love animals, but for everyone’s safety—yours, your pets’, and ours—please secure your pets before your scheduled appointment(s) to comply with safety guidelines. This helps avoid any accidental escapes or injuries. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe!

Cable Installation 

When your Dig Technician arrives, they'll will check in with you to make sure it's still a good time to lay fiber cable. They will confirm the best location on your property to bring in the fiber connection. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the dig, now is the time to raise those with the Dig Tech. 

The Dig Tech will need an adult (18+) present while they work. Here’s what they’ll do…

1. Dig a small trench from your home to the existing, streetside, fiber connection box
2. Attach a small gray box (called an “NID") to the side of your house
3. Lay the underground cable connecting the streetside fiber connection box to your NID
4. Clean up work area

Don’t worry—We'll cover up the trench and clean up the area when we’re finished!
 
Once the dig is done, your Dig Tech will let you know when to expect our Aristotle Field Tech, who will finish the installation and set up your Wi-Fi. A Field Tech typically completes setup on the same day as the dig, but during peak seasons, their visit may need to be scheduled for a later date. 

Wi-Fi Installation

When your Field Tech arrives, they'll check in with you to confirm it is still a good time to get your Wi-Fi set up. They’ll discuss the best location of your router and answer any last-minute questions you might have. 
 
Just like with the dig, an adult (18+) must be present while we work. Here’s what the Field Tech will do…

1. Run cable from the NID outside to the router in your home or office
2. Activate your equipment
3. Test the service to confirm speeds meet survey estimates
4. Secure cable and waterproof entry holes
5. Clean up work area 

App Onboarding

1. Download the ArisControl App 
2. Create an account
3. Connect to your Wi-Fi
4. Change the password
5. Run a speed test of the Wi-Fi
