FCC Eases Financial Burdens on Rural Broadband Providers with New Letter of Credit Rules

The Federal Communications Commission has eased requirements for recipients of rural broadband funding, removing unnecessary financial hurdles for broadband expansion projects.

Elizabeth Bowles, CEO & President, Aristotle Unified Communications, has been advocating for this change ever since the initial requirements rolled out.

“I’m thrilled that the FCC has announced this change to the RDOF letter of credit, which will level the playing field for smaller broadband service providers, like Aristotle. Our mission has long been to bring high speed internet to unserved and underserved communities, and this change will remove a huge roadblock to our ability to do that more quickly and on a larger scale.” – Elizabeth Bowles, CEO, Aristotle Unified Communications

Hear Bowles speak on the topic in the “Closing The Digital Divide” podcast way back in June of 2023.
