Struggling to afford internet service? The Federal Communications Commission has launched a program to help qualifying families and households.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices.
If your household is eligible, you can receive:
Broadband Internet
Up to $30/month discount for broadband internet service
Tribal Lands
Broadband Internet
Up to $75/month discount for broadband internet service on qualifying Tribal Lands
A household is eligible if a member of the household meets one of the criteria below:
Some households may qualify for an up to $75/month enhanced benefit if they are in high-cost areas and other requirements are met.

What if I’m already a customer?
New, current and prior customers of participating providers can all apply for the benefit.
Your participating broadband provider receives the funds from ACP and applies the discount (up to $30 per household) to your bill.
If my monthly plan is more than the benefit, do I pay the remaining cost?
Yes, you are responsible for any charges over $30 per month for your broadband service.
I pay my landlord for my Internet. Can I still get ACP?
Yes, if you qualify, ask your landlord to contact their broadband provider to discuss what benefits are available.
Can my roommate and I both get the discount?
No, ACP is limited to one discount per household.
Can my child apply for ACP if we are part of the same household?
No, ACP is limited to one discount per household.
What qualifies as a "high cost area"?
The actual definition of “high-cost area” will be determined by NTIA (National Telecommunications and Information Administration) in consultation with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), but it will likely include an “unserved area in which the cost of building out broadband service is higher, as compared with the average cost of building out broadband service in unserved areas of the United States”, and other factors to be considered may be:
